gluing is terrifying

So I've only ever bound one book so far, a little more than a year ago, but I'm still very proud of it. I used various youtube videos and Hand Bookbinding: A Manual of Instruction by Aldren A. Watson (and a whole lot of Fear).

It's the Supervillainy short from Feynite's Scum Villain AU series on AO3, with permission, of course.

cutting paper neatly along the edges with only scissors is HARD decided to pretend it was deliberatefront end sheet. gluing is scary.
back end sheet!I just really like my little jumping spider transition guy

It's pretty rough, but it's held up okay! I'm hoping I'll be able to get back into it soon.

that is some crisp typesetting, what fonts did you use? have you checked out ASH's typesetting tutorial?

Oh man I love the typesetting too, finding just the right font is A+. This is ASH's How To Make A Book gdoc, it's specific to pulling fic from AO3, but it has some excellent general tips for typesetting in Microsoft Word (and I think it also has links to tutorials for other software). I probably use Adobe Garamond Pro and Adobe Jenson Pro most often, though I've been using Crimson Text a lot, lately.
